Sure a product can seem like a great idea, but what if the consumer can’t use it properly? What if they get frustrated with the interface and discard the product? Conducting product usability testing is crucial to the success or failure of consumer products. Armed with both quantitative and qualitative skills, I conducted a usability test for a company’s demo. Eight female online shoppers tested this demo and provided suggestions for improvement. Once I completed the testing process I wrote a report to the company with recommendations. Since the product was a demo I must maintain anonymity with my analysis. However, I am permitted to share certain portions of my research.
